Milicz Ponds

Milicz Ponds, very well known among Polish wildlife photographers, is a group of about 285 fish ponds, covering about 77 square kilometres, located in Lower Silesian Voivodeship, near and aroud city of Milicz. Established in XIII century, it is the biggest carp breeding site in Europe. It's also a protected bird habitat, with 276 species recorded in the area, 166 using this as a breeding spot.
